We are a centuries old, vibrant culture kept alive against great odds! Our exiled French Acadian ancestors were forcibly removed from l'Acadie (Nova Scotia) during the brutal deportation by the British which scattered the Acadians & is known as the Le Grand Dérangement of 1755. Many found refuge in Louisiana becoming known as the Cajuns. Here we celebrate our colorful heritage, the preservation of our language & our refusal to be culturally assimilated & Anglicized!

Evangéline
Beautiful Video and song about Evangeline. From Youtube on this video:
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
This particular version performed by Marie-Jo Thério, Evangéline is a French-Canadian song that celebrates the legendary woman of the same name and her incredible story. Whether or not you have Acadian blood, I hope this song inspires you.
